Brian Bogel,
A friend of mine presented me with alternative ways to grow
my retirement more aggressively. I knew I needed a partner
to assist me, not only with setting up an LLC but with the
continuing administrative functions of an IRA. I did some
homework and researched several companies. I started to

Kristin Stone, Thanks for all your
time and expertise in helping me establish my
self-directed IRA at Security Trust. As a Realtor and
former CPA, I understand and appreciate the power in
controlling my own retirement destiny through a
self-directed IRA. I'm motivated to maximize the growth of my

Things have moved quickly

June. Flinke, LLC settled on a run down Cape Cod in
Fairfax City on July 5th. Since then, we've gutted

Denny Mager,
I first learned of Self-Directed IRAs from various Real
Estate workshops my wife and I attended in late 2005. The
basic concept of the Self-Directed IRA was appealing: use
your IRA to invest in real estate and non traditional
assets. I thought I was in good shape since I already had a
Self-Directed IRA at one of the largest Mutual Fund
organizations in the world. However, I learned the
definition of Self-Direction with the Mutual Fund
organization is Mutual Funds and stocks. I then searched the
Internet for Self-Directed IRAs. After several emails and conversations with various
Self-Directed IRA providers my wife and I were invited to a
Security Trust Company ‘Open House’ the spring of 2006. We
listened to the Security Trust Company (STC) presentations
and had personal conversations with various STC team
members. We were impressed with the STC team and STC
provided a chance to work with a local Maryland company to
manage my Self-Directed IRA. The investments we have made though STC are mostly
concentrated in real estate such as Affordable Housing in
Houston, Texas and Hard Money Loans for properties in Utah,
Maryland, and DC. The STC process has ensured my investments
are within the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) guidelines.
This includes ensuring proper documentation as required by
the IRS. We have found the STC team to be helpful and supportive. Our
portfolio now has a diverse mix of Stocks, Mutual Funds, and
Real Estate investments thanks to the STC Self-Directed IRA.
